Swift Awareness Week - Various events


A week of events for the National Swift Awareness week. 4 events to get involved with, as follows - 

***Sat 16th June - Swift walk and talk - Meet at Sarum College SP12EE Salisbury 8-9pm Suggested donation £5
Talk and walk typically last between 1 and 1.5 hours.

***Sun 17th - Swift day at The Secret Garden Salisbury SP27RX from 1-4pm FREE (Including crafty kids)
Come to hear about the work that Salisbury and Wilton Swifts are doing to help Swifts locally. Find out more about this amazing bird and how you can help the project. Advice and help on positioning nest boxes. Activities for children and buy a Swift biscuit! Free event but donations accepted.

***Monday 18th June - Swift walk and talk Wilton - Meet at The Greyhound pub SP2OHT 8-9pm Suggested donation £5
Talk and walk typically lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours.

***Fri 22nd June - Meet outside sarum College SP12EE 8-9pm - Swift Surveying - FREE
Learn why it’s important to survey Swifts for population changes and how to find nest sites in order to preserve these nesting spaces. Advice on reporting to various online databases will be given too. Be part of the growing number of people who are making a positive impact for Swifts. Free event but donations accepted.
